Updating the CMDB

Version 1.0 of the Widget Safety First application was successfully tested and has been transferred to the production environment. This same version of the application is still running in the test environment, but in the development environment the Application Development team has already started to work on version 1.1.

Update the configuration management database (CMDB) to reflect these changes. Start by registering a CI for Widget Safety First version 1.1. Relate this CI to the Safety First Development service instance. Next, update the status of version 1.0 to “In Production” and make sure that it is linked to the test and production instances of the Safety First service.
