Registering an SLA
With the service offering registered, it is now possible for Howard to prepare the SLA for Widget North America.
Call this SLA ‘Standard Safety First for Widget North America’. Set its status to ‘Active’. Select ‘Widget North America, Information Technology’ as the customer of the SLA. This organization has its own Xurrent account, so by selecting it as the customer, its service level manager will be able to set the coverage of the SLA. Howard will act as the service level manager.
An SLA only needs to be registered for the production environment. The Application Development team will not commit to any service level targets for the development or test instance of the Safety First service.
