Updating CIs (iii)
A week later you receive a copy of the packing list that informs you that the SMART 7086 Pro display has been delivered. You arrange for it to be moved into the new training center.
There you open the box and you note down the serial number of the interactive whiteboard. It is: 012XC-HQj-003794. The warranty certificate indicates that the warranty expires 12 months after delivery. Since the packing list indicates that the CI was just delivered, you can use today’s date as the start date. In SAP you see that it has been given the following asset ID: A00004849425.
Update the interactive whiteboard CI using this information.
By setting the status to “Reserved” you can let everyone know that, even though the CI is not yet in use, it already has a specific purpose.
